The northernmost lift accessed jump trail in the world!!
07-07-11 Gravity Logic was recently given the opportunity to design and build (under the midnight sun, no less) what we think is the world’s (correct us if we’re wrong) most northern jump trail. Located at the Birch Hill ski area on the Fort Wainwright military base in Fairbanks, Alaska, the aspen and birch forest is now chock full of tables, doubles, step-ups, step-downs, berms, as well as an incredibly fun bit of of excavated singletrack. Check out local riders (and trail crew)Tony Simko and Tom Harwood on one of the first runs down!
Thanks also to Brad Stone and Jimmy Howell of 402 Trails for helping us move, sculpt, shape and buff an otherwise two dimensional topographical challenge into a three dimensional work of art.
